Totnes Dancing Fiesta
Sun 10th August. Devon

As part of the Totnes Carnival week, we are holding a whole day dedicated to dancing!

Totnes High Street will be given over to the sheer exuberance of tango, jive, salsa, African, morris, line dancing and as many forms of the dance as you can dream of. All sorts of food and drink will be on sale reflecting the many and varied forms of dance on show.

We are actively seeking community participation so please contact us if you have a dance group, class, school or team or are simply keen to be involved in this inaugural Dancing Fiesta!

For 2008 The first Cornwall heat will be part of the very popular Golowan Festival on Sunday 29thJune in Penzance. The Plymouth heat will be on the Hoe on Saturday the 2ndAugust, and the last heat will be part of the Big Cornish Day Out at Carruan Farm, Polzeath on Bank Holiday Monday 25th August.
The competition will be in the main arena and there will be an evening dance the night before -Sun 24th - with two fantastic bands, Black Friday and the Louis Eliot Band.

The Grand Final will be held at St. Keviccs School Totnes on the 13th of September 2008.

Bristol Event Postponed

Due to the unexpectedly low number of applicants for the Bristol heat of the 2008 Buskers and Street Entertainers Competition, we have decided to postpone this heat until a future time when we can be sure of a satisfactory outcome for all performers and the Children's World Charity. Any artists from Bristol who still wish to enter the competition will be able to be in any of the other three heats that are planned.
